My wine career began at a young age, helping with a family friend's home winemaking project. Inspired by this experience, I pursued a degree in Wine and Viticulture at Cal Poly, and the rest is history. During my time at Cal Poly, I worked for Kenneth Volk, Orcutt Road Cellars, and Clesi. In 2014, I also was hired as the Cal Poly winemaker.

After graduating, I traveled to Argentina to work a harvest at Vina Cobos in Mendoza. Eventually, I returned to Calistoga, where my journey in winemaking started. Since then, I have worked harvests at Jericho Canyon Vineyards, served as Cellar Lead at Clos Pegase, and have been the Assistant Winemaker at Red Car Wine for the past six years.

KALM is the next step in my winemaking career, allowing me to make my favorite wines and experiment with different varietals that inspire me.

Raised in the small town of Calistoga I have always been surrounded by the wine world and had a love for great wine. I grew up on Diamond Mountain and my parents had 5 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon which they produced a small label with for about 10 years, but I never had any plans to get into the wine business myself. My passion was health science which led me to my career as a registered nurse in the operating room. Then I met Kenny and creating our own wine label became something that we talked about often. It started with our wedding, Kenny created our own wedding blend which we labeled and ended up combining our initials to create KALM. After that Kenny's parents planted a small amount of Petite Sirah and Sauvignon Blanc at their home in Calistoga. This helped us on our next step to creating the KALM label and have become our first official Vintages. We are so excited to share our wine with you and hope you enjoy!
